Self Portrait Masking

In Photoshop we dealt with ourselves. We had to make a self portrait that looked interesting. To do that we could do anything that we liked. I added different rectangles and added different blending modes to them to get the different colors. I added two more pictures of me and added blending modes to those too, so they wouldn't be the same normal colors. I did all that I could with out it being too much, but even then it was just on the border of too much. But I still like how it turned out.

Masking Exercise Fun

This was in Photoshop and we used masks to help blur or feather the image. And in the background are different shapes with different layer effects to make them have a different color. Adding the different effects made this image fun because having the same color is boring and that's not fun. And the different squares were a different color to start with the I added the different effects.

Typography or Text-Based Art

I REALLY like art. It makes me happy. I like to create and find art that others make. I find myself looking at art for almost half a the day sometimes. One of my favorite mediums of art is anything that involves computers or graphic design, which is probably a good thing because that's what I want to do for a career some day. When I was searching for examples of typography, I couldn't pick just three of them. I find typography really interesting and want to learn to do some day. All types of art that deal with graphic design, I like to think that anyone can make something using a computer. Whether if what they create is good or not is up to them, at least they gave it a try. I do give credit for the people who can draw with pencils and paper and every other kind of medium, but I enjoy the computer based stuff a little more, I find I can make better things on the computer.

All 6 of these pictures I like. I couldn't chose just 3 so I'm posting them all. The first one and last one is about Harry Potter. The second one is wine. The third one is about Ferris Bueller. The fourth one is about Batman or the Joker. The fifth one is about Transformers. All of these pictures are really creative to me and I like how right when I saw them I knew what they were about.

Point, Line and Plane Pictures

For this assignment we had to find examples for points, lines and planes. We took pictures around the classroom and around the CVA. We then edited the pictures in Photoshop. For my photos, I mainly cropped them and messed with the contrast. For some of the pictures, I messed with the color, shadows, highlights and the orientation of the pictures. This assignment was fun, it was interesting trying to find examples of point, line and plane. I like to edit photos and make them look better and more interesting. The two pictures of the word "Embrace" are the edited one and the original one. This shows what I did to most of them, which is crop and rotate the image and change of the colors and the contrast. I chose to show these two pictures for this particular image because I think it shows the difference fairly well. All in all, I like all the pictures and how the turned out.

Background Image

This picture I wanted to share with you because it is my background image. Most people won't know what it is because it is covered with my very important posts :] The posts are the main focus, but I thought why not give the background a little attention too. This was done with oil paint. It took forever but it was worth it because it looks AWESOME! Enjoy.

Resolution, Transparency, Photoshop.

This little class assignment was based in Photoshop. We used rulers and pulled down guides from those rulers and made shapes based on where we put the guides. Some overlap and some don't and  some have different effects on them.

3 Digital Artists

I really like the 3 artists I have found. Alberto Seveso is from the United Kingdom. Chuck Anderson is from Chicago in the USA. Lastly, Cristiano Siqueira is from Brazil. Each one of these artists have their own style. They are really good at what they do. I like all of the colors each piece has. Each artist, you can tell, has passion for what they do. Every piece makes me want to stare at it for hours. Every time I look at one again I notice something I didn't before. This picture below is an example of Cristiano Siqueira work.

If you are feeling more adventurous, you can look at the list I got these from. All of these artists on this list are great, it would be worth your time. For a complete list go to: http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/articles/20-amazing-digital-artists-to-follow-on-behance

The above picture is a piece of art from Cristiano Siqueira. I really like how the colors just move off of him. I like the contrast in his body and the color, it really makes the color pop.

Representation of My Work

These four pictures of my past work are some of my favorites. I worked really hard on them and every time I look at them, they make me smile. They remind me why I want to be in graphic design. Out of the four, the first and second one are my absolute favorite. They show how hard I can work and I like my pieces to be colorful and interesting. The first piece was done in Illustrator. I had to intersect every single number and letter that I put in there. The second one was also made in Illustrator. I used the pen tool and basically drew that lady for a magazine article we had to make which is below. The third piece is a magazine article. We had to make up our own magazine and make an article for. I didn't write the article, the teacher was only focused on the designs that we made. And the last piece was a haunted house. We took a creepy looking house picture from Google and transformed it in Photoshop. I am very excited to take this class, it makes me excited to think of all the things I will possibly make and will make. I will hopefully make great pieces and learn something new!!
